We take the Bergen-Oslo train to Finse (1222 m a.s.l.).
Departure time Bergen at 07.58 AM.
Arrive at Finse at 10.20 AM.

Walk for about 2 hrs (ca. 4 km) up the front of Midtdalsbreen (about 1400 m a.s.l.), a northern outlet glacier from Hardangerjøkulen, the sixth largest glacier in Norway.

We will walk through the ‘Little Ice Age’ glacier foreland of Midtdalsbreen. At the glacier front, the evidence of recent frontal variations will be presented. Walk back to the Finse railway station. Depart with train from Finse at 20.21 PM, arriving Bergen at 22.35 PM.

Everyone need to bring food and something to drink for the entire day, good hiking shoes, and warm and waterproof clothes (including a warm hat and gloves).

Expenses: More than 10 participants NOK 560 (train ticket both ways).
